Research Around the World

The website I chose to look at was Early Child Flexibility Practices and Patterns. This website sparked my attention when it spoke on the current research project they are currently working on in Australia. It amazes me what people do to enhance to development and experiences for our children.

In Australia the project is designed to use flexible practices and patterns across the early childhood sector, funded through the Australian Government’s Child Care Flexibility Fund.
The project will identify innovative flexible practices being delivered by the early childhood sector, examine how flexible services operate and function and identify barriers restricting current operators being able to increase flexibility for families. The project will also assist the sector to learn from the implementation of flexible practices at other services.
Being able to be flexible is what is ended for many of our families here in Michigan. I have always said that Michigan and other states should collaborate with each other to find solutions that will benefit the community. Many of the individuals across the country experience some of the same issues that we do and sometimes at a greater state, but if we can see signs ahead of time than we may be able to address them ahead of time.
I learned that some of the flexibility strategies that they use are having non-standard hours, different locations to meet the needs of the non-standard hours, using and collaborating with other services.
Australia has made some tremendous changes in the improvement of early child development.
