The Experience
This week I chose to seek out professionals from Australia and Southeast Asia. I do not have a reason as to why I chose those two, I just wanted something different.
When searching for the early childhood professional I first google information about different places around the world that focus on the early childhood field. Within my search Australia came up first and then an organization called WHO (World Health Organization).
With searching the information from Australia I was able to find an email address of a contact person that may be able to answer the questions that have been given, and the same with the WHO organization. In the email I did indicate that I was an early childhood professional and a student from the United States, in hopes that they will be willing to provide me with information on the early childhood field within their country. My goal is to share information with them regarding what occurs here and hopefully they can provide us with information that has lead them to become successful and what they have done that was a downfall.
I have not receive any information yet on either one of the professionals, but I do blame that on myself. I didn't send the emails until Thursday and a lot of places receive several emails throughout the day, so I am assuming that they haven't got the chance to read my emails yet. If I do not hear from either one of them by Wednesday of next week I will seek information from the alternative assignment.
