Sharing Web Resources

A Clear View

I have chosen to stick with the website, "The Division for Early Childhood of the Council for Exceptional Children." The website had a section titled, Young Exceptional Children, and in this section is explains how important and serious dealing with children who may have a special need. The site indicates strategies that can be implemented within the child's environment, mostly in school, that have shown proof that it helps to decrease the amount of difficult behaviors.
This caught my eye because their are so many children with behavioral issues and some teachers and administrators are unsure as to how they should approach the situation. I think it is imperative as an educator that we should have several strategies available to us to help with children. Some children become accustom to the ways we do things and sometimes that can lead to that strategy not working anymore. This information is helpful in my field because I want to be able to have different ways to help my children and I want to offer help to other teachers that may be experiencing difficulties within their classroom.
I'm proud that we have organizations that understand what is going on and that they are willing to provide help. In the pass, we would have individuals brush the issues off to side and leave it up to the teachers to deal with the issues with little to no help at all. This is an improvement and I know in the near future their will be more organizations and more strategies available to educators.
